Alexander Wang Is Turning A Blind Eye To Sexual Assault Allegations

37-year-old fashion designer Alexander Wang has denied sexual assault accusations despite mounting claims by former male and transgender models. Instagram accounts@s**tmodelmgmt and @Diet_Pradashared stories from models alleging that Wang has sexually assaulted them.
In one account, model Owen Mooney posted a video to TikTok describing an incident where Wang openly groped his growing at New York nightclub in 2017. Mooney said, “I was by myself at one point and this guy next to me obviously took advantage of the fact that no one could fucking move and he just started like, touching me up.”
The model added, “And fully like, up my leg, in my crotch, like it made me freeze completely because I was in such shock. I looked to my left to see who it was, and it was this really famous fashion designer. Like, I couldn’t believe that he was doing that to me. It made me go into even more shock. It was really fucked up.”
Owen did not call out the designer by in the first video, but later confirmed it was Wang he was referring to in a follow-up post.
After Owen went public with his video, other male and trans models shared their own stories, with Shit Model Management about similar allegations. The Instagram account shared many anonymous and unverified stories of Wang’s alleged sexual assaults, including one person claiming that the designer spiking their drink with the street drug ecstasy.
S**t Model Management Instagram account has called the public to unfollow Wang with statement: “Alexander Wang has been accused of sexual assault for a few years now,” S**t Model Management wrote on their Instagram in a statement. “Instead of letting these occurrences be swept under the rug, it is time to do something about this. Please unfollow @alexwangny & @alexanderwangny to show your support to the victims.”
The Model Alliance, released as statement on Tuesday (December 29) regarding the allegations, saying that they stand in “solidarity with those who have shared accusations of sexual abuse by Alexander Wang.”
In a statement published byPage Six, Wang denied the accusations, saying via a rep: “Over the last few days, I have been on the receiving end of baseless and grotesquely false accusations. These claims have been wrongfully amplified by social media accounts infamous for posting defamatory material from undisclosed and/or anonymous sources with zero evidence or any fact checking whatsoever. Seeing these lies about me being perpetuated as truths has been infuriating.”
He continued, “I have never engaged in the atrocious behavior described and would never conduct myself in the manner that’s been alleged. I intend to get to the bottom of this and hold accountable whoever is responsible for originating these claims and viciously spreading them online.”
On Wednesday, Mooney followed up Wang's denial with this Instagram story thanking fans for their support and explaining why he came out about why he addressing Alexander's alleged misconduct years later.
