‘Anora’ Wins Best Picture At The 30th Annual Critics Choice Awards - Full Winners List

Neon's Anora won Best Picture on Friday at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards, hosted by Chelsea Handler, on Friday at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

Handler opened the ceremony, addressing the devastating Los Angeles wildfires and thanking first responders for their bravery and work as a table of LAFD firefighters sat at a table behind her.


Her opening speech earning a standing ovation from the star-studded crown. The Critics Choice Awards are bestowed annually to honor the finest in cinematic and television achievement. Historically, they are the most accurate predictor of Academy Award nominations. 




Adrien Brody received the best actor award for The Brutalist; Demi Moore was awarded best actress for The Substance; Zoe Saldaña, from Emilia Pérez, won best supporting actress, and Kieran Culkin from A Real Pain won best supporting actor. Wicked also won awards for production design and costume design.



In the TV categories, Shōgun won the most with four trophies, followed by Hacks, with three awards, including best comedy series. The limited series award went to Baby Reindeer.


Shrinking‘s Michael Urie and Hacks‘ Hannah Einbinder took the stage together to present the first three supporting TV awards, using their time to advocate for the trans community, declaring “trans lives matter” in unison. Urie shared how his parents supported him and his sister when they came out as queer, expressing gratitude to everyone who supports queer kids.
