One of the biggest names in music has endorsed Democratic candidate, Bernie Sanders. Ariana Grande shared photos of her backstage with Sanders whom attended her concert on Tuesday night in Atlanta.
Sanders shared this tweet: “I want to thank @ArianaGrande for not only being a wonderful entertainer, but also for being such an outstanding advocate for social justice,” Sanders tweeted. “We must all be prepared – like Ariana has shown – to fight for everyone who is struggling. It was great to meet her in Atlanta last night.”
In response to Sanders tweet - Grande replied: “MY GUY. thank you Senator Sanders for coming to my show, making my whole night and for all that you stand for !” Grande tweeted. “@headcountorg and i are doing our best to make you proud. we’ve already registered 20k+ young voters at my shows alone. also i will never smile this hard again promise.”
The pop star has partnered with HeadCount.org wich has already generated over 20K in sign-ups. HeadCount is a non-partisan organization that works with musicians to promote participation in democracy. The organization's board of directors includes Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead.
Grande joins many fellow musicians who have shown support for Sanders campaign. Artists such as: Killer Mike of Run the Jewels, Jack White, and Cardi B, have also endorsed Bernie Sanders.
