Denise Richards deflated a challenge on the third season of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”
Richards, 53, disclosed during a January 3 appearance on “Jeff Lewis Live” that she had “ruptured” both of her breast implants while performing one of the hazardous tasks on season 3 of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, which premieres on Fox, Jan. 8.
When Jeff Lewis inquired about the intense stunts the celebrity recruits had to undertake, such as leaping from a boat to a helicopter, she mentioned, “I also jumped off a bridge, and that's when I ruptured my implants doing that.” Richards shared during a joint interview with her husband Aaron Phypers on SiriusXM's Jeff Lewis Live.
Richards shared additional details about the incident, mentioning that the harness she used for the stunt affected both of her breast implants.
“I still have to get them redone,” she added. “I was supposed to a month ago, but couldn’t because we were filming so I still have to get them redone.”
Richards mentioned that she would cover the cost of the procedure herself instead of relying on insurance or the show, stating, “I believe we essentially signed our life away by participating in that show; it’s risky.”
The reality series "Special Forces" puts a group of celebrities to the test as they undergo more than a week of military training. The previous season included a team of 14 celebrity participants such as Savannah Chrisley, and "Vanderpump Rules" star Tom Sandoval.
“Special Forces” returns for its third season on January 8, 2025, taking place in Wales, where the recruits will encounter some of the most rigorous and challenging tasks from the actual Special Forces selection process.
