Drake Drops Teaser & Release Date for Upcoming Album 'Certified Lover Boy' on his 34th Birthday

Toronto-born rapper Drake debuted a short teaser on his social media for his new album “Certified Lover Boy” on Saturday, which also happened to be his 34th birthday. The caption announced a release date of January 2021.

The video opens with a young boy looking up into a dreamlike spotlight as an instrumental track plays. The teaser then shows previous artwork for Drake’s albums’ “Take Care,” “Nothing Was the Same” and “Dark Lane Demo Tapes.” The end of the trailer pans in on a drone shot over a lit stadium, displaying the letters “CLB” painted with roses. Soon after follows the message “January 2021.”

The album marks the rapper’s sixth full-length studio album which was originally to be released over the summer, but the release was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
