In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic surge, many owners of bars and nightclubs are faced with re-developing and strategizing operations with new social distancing requirements to meet the ever-changing, state-by-state safety restrictions.
On Sunday, the famously celeb packed cocktail bar and restaurant, Delilah (West Hollywood) has quickly shifted to slinging specialty drinks and gourmet ‘Beyond Burgers’ via curbside pickup and patio dining until restrictions are eased. The new pop-up takeout service branded as ‘Lilah’s Diner’ receives drive-thru orders in the back parking lot of Delilah at 7969 Santa Monica Blvd from 12pm-6pm.
The h.wood Group has created an alternative outdoor 50’s style cookout experience and to-go option for guests alongside a revised menu with cocktails to-go. Grey Goose Vodka and Beyond Meat have partnered with the diner as official sponsors.
Markus Molinari (h.wood Group partner) took to Insta to share a photo of his Lilah's Diner to go food order and cocktails while poolside with Australian actor and singer, Hugh Sheridan.
Behind the opening of Lilah’s Diner are owners John Terzian, Brian Toll, Adam Koral and Matt Seigel. The menu includes buffalo cauliflower, mac and cheese, crab cakes, salads, burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, carrot cakes, cocktails to go and more.
The diner’s Instagram post that announces July 5th and 6th as launch dates for the group's “all new delivery concepts” however the post does not reveal if the pop up is here to stay or plans on resurfacing in the following weeks.
For now, we plan on heading over to wait in line and try out the Beyond Burger. BRB! For updates, follow @lilahsdineron Instagram.
