Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman and rock legend, John Fogerty will conclude his “My 50 Year Trip” tour at the Wynn Las Vegas. Shows will take place on select nights from November 4th through the 18th at Wynn’s Encore Theater.
Produced by Julie Fogerty, “My 50 Year Trip” captures the spirit of the band’s legendary 1969 Woodstock performances and more. The playlist includes CCR's greatest hits along with personal photos and stories of Fogerty’s musical journey spanning decades.
Fogerty, who joined the Army in the 1960s, will donate one dollar from each ticket sold to benefit the construction of transitional and permanent housing for Veterans Village, a non-profit organization. The new structures will be container housing called the “Proud Mary - John Fogerty Container Home at Veterans Village.”
Veterans Village, a program of Patrick McCaffrey Foundation, is taking part in implementing a replicable model for helping veterans (and others faced with homelessness) build micro-housing communities that create good jobs (in construction, green-tech industries, and artisanal manufacturing), and participant-owned and financed affordable housing.
“It’s such a wonderful project and I’m hoping it will be seen as a model that other people can follow. Obviously, it’s much more efficient than building a house from scratch, and it’s doing something to help homeless veterans, which is certainly a problem we all recognize” -John Fogerty on the Veteran’s Village Charitable Foundation
