Model Kate Moss is the next high profile celebrity expected to testify as a rebuttal witness in the dramatic Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard defamation trial.
Moss, who dated Depp from 1994 to 1997, will reportedly take the stand for Depp's legal team on Wednesday.
Heard had mentioned the super model in her testimony on Thursday, saying she felt connected to Moss due to a rumor that Depp pushed her down the stairs when they were dating back in the 1990s. Moss denies the claim.
A source close to Depp confirmed that Moss and Depp remain close and that she supports him. This could be bad news for Heard's legal team.
Heard’s legal team was expected to call Depp back to the stand on Monday after cross-examining the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor last month. However, Team Heard ultimately declined to interrogate Depp and changed legal strategy.
Depp filed a $50-million defamation lawsuit against Heard based on a 2018 Washington Post op-ed where she claimed hereself to be domestic abuse survivor. Heard countersued her ex-husband for $100 million, also for defamation. Both cases are being heard simultaneously at the Fairfax County Circuit Courthouse in Virginia.
