Kathie Lee Gifford’s talents extend far past the bright lights of the Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee show. The charismatic former talk show host was recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Nashville Pops Orchestra “in recognition of her voluminous accomplishments with a focus on the difference she has made in the lives of others and making the world a better place”.
The inaugural awards gala was held at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee on November 16th, 2019. The event was titled "An Evening With Kathie Lee Gifford," and funds were raised to benefit The Bright Horizons Award which awards $5,000 to a commendable institution.
Gifford is an ardent humanitarian. She is a celebrity ambassador to many children’s organizations, including Childhelp and the Association to Benefit Children, appearing at events and fundraisers. Additionally, Gifford and her husband, Frank Gifford, started two shelters in New York City, Cassidy’s Place and Cody House, to support children who are medically fragile.
Gifford is currently working on Then Came You, a film she wrote, directed, and stars in.
