The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored Award-winning performer Marc Anthony with the 2,762nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, September 7. Anthony's sons Ryan (19) and Cristian (22) joined him during the unveiling ceremony along with friend, David Beckham.
Beckham, a close friend of Anthony's for over two decades, surprised the singer with a heartfelt tribute, emphasizing both his incredible talent and his exceptional character.
Anthony is a multi-talented singer, dancer, actor, songwriter, producer, and ambassador of Latin music and culture. He is inarguably one of the world's biggest pop stars and the top-selling salsa artist of all time. Anthony has sold tens of millions of recordings and won multiple Grammys, Latin Grammys, and dozens of other awards. Anthony's Hollywood star in the category of Recording is an acknowledgment of his major accomplishments in the music industry.
The singer posted to his official Instagram account @marcanthony saying:
"Gracias a todos los que han acompañado a lo largo de los años de mi carrera. Esto es gracias a ustedes! 🙏" - English translation - "Thank you to everyone who's been with me throughout the years of my career. This is thanks to you guys!"
The star was unveiled at 6284 Hollywood Boulevard near the historic corner of Hollywood & Vine in front of thousands of screaming fans.
Anthony's star is awarded just months ahead of his new concert tour planned for November and a new studio album set to be released spring of 2024.
