Model and Advocate, Lauren Wasser, was spotted at the soft opening of The Webster - Los Angeles, on Thursday (Feb 6.) Wasser posted a photo to her Instagram account @TheImpossibleMuse wearing striped pants and a black trench with tagged designers, Helmut Lang and YSL at the star-studded opening.
Tallulah Willis, Dakota Fanning, and Oscar nominated costume designer - Arianne Phillips, hosted the event. Willis debuted her first fashion collection called Wyllis. The newly launched, very pink store will be the flagship store for The Webster, Los Angeles. The 2 story luxury retail space occupies 11,000 square feet at the base of the Beverly Center Mall.
Celebrity guests included owner Laure Hériard Dubreuil, Dakota Fanning, Demi Moore, Busy Phillips, Ashlee Simpson, Evan Ross, and more wandered about the luxury multi-brand retailer.
Lauren Wasser is a model, athlete, and advocate. Her modeling career came to a screeching halt in 2012 when she was diagnosed with Toxic Shock Syndrome, a rare and often fatal condition often linked to tampon usage. Because of TSS, Wasser suffered from complications which resulted in having both of her legs amputated just below the knee.
Wasser overcame her health challenges and eventually returned to modeling with a new purpose as she continues to break boundaries in the fashion industry. Today, the 31-year-old model is represented by LA Models and remains a fearless advocate to help raise awareness about TSS.
