The sold-out Tarantina Show themed the Titty Twister did not disappoint on October 17th, 2019 at Club Bahia in Echo Park. The monthly “Tarantina,” review is a Quentin Tarantino inspired cabaret production. The cast brings the iconic women from Tarantino flicks to life with inspired characters and breathtaking performances.

The Tarantina Show covers the full spectrum of Tarantino’s heroines, from the feminine and sultry to the fearless warrior. The production is one of the most incredible tributes I have ever seen. The whole experience feels like a music video.

The all-star cast features, world-class acrobats, burlesque performers, fire dancers, and more. Upon arriving there was a line wrapped around the block with costumed ticket holders eagerly awaiting the show. The Bahia bar was transformed to look just like the bar in Quentin Tarantino’s “From Dusk Till Dawn.” It’s an understatement to call the Tarantina Show a cabaret. There is a lot of artistry and an element of danger with some of the acts. Each character introduces a unique skill with each performance.

The show is produced and conceived by the multi talented, Tosca Rivola. The Czech Republic, native, created Tarantina toward the end of 2018, to pay homage to her favorite female characters from a variety of QT movies. Rivola portrays character, Cherry Darling from the 2007 film, Planet Terror. She performs the Cyr Ring routine effortlessly with a sparkly costume machine-gun-leg.

The audience dressed up in costume, creating a fun and interactive environment. Each show differs and introduces new acts. The Titty Twister show featured a hair-hanging acrobatic performance inspired by Kill Bill’s, Crazy 88; performed by Lindsey Cova and the Serpent Queen snake striptease from the film, From Dusk Til Dawn.

Between acts, Coco Lamarr delivers powerful performances with a smokey and decadent voice that parallels the late Amy Winehouse. Attendees also get to enjoy delicious Tarantino-themed cocktails and movie trivia throughout the night.

This show is a must see if you are in the Los Angeles area. One word of advance is to buy tickets early before they sell out. There is also a no photography rule once inside the event. The next Tarantina Show is on December 5th, 2019 at Club Bahia.
