Hosted by Nobody Wants This actress Jackie Tohn, the 27th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards (CDGA) celebrated excellence in film, television, short form costume design, and costume illustration on Thursday evening (February 6) held at The Ebell in Los Angeles.

Zoe Saldaña received the 2025 Spotlight Award, which “honors an actor whose talent and career personify an enduring commitment to excellence, including a special awareness of the role and importance of Costume Design.”

Singer-actor Janelle Monáe received CDG’s Vanguard Spotlight Award.

Nosferatu costume designer Linda Muir won for Excellence in Period Film, and Wicked’s Paul Tazewell took the Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film prize.

The Costume Designers Guild partnered with other IATSE locals to assist individuals impacted by last month's severe wildfires in Los Angeles. To benefit the IATSE Emergency Relief Fund, the CDGA will conduct an auction featuring rare entertainment collectibles and memorabilia donated by members of the costume community. The auction's proceeds will be directed entirely to the relief fund.
